We offer NRA certified courses as well as custom curriculum to meet your specific training needs. Courses vary in length. NRA certified courses include all instructional material as well as official certification. We offer classes with indoor and outdoor range options.

 Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe use of a pistol. The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA affiliation and is available in the traditional, instructor-led course where you will receive direct instruction from an  NRA-certified instructor from beginning to end. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from  the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions;  cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development. Successful students will receive the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of  Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and receive an NRA course completion certificate. 

 Teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to carry a  concealed pistol for personal defense. The NRA CCW Course is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation. Admission to this course is based on the Chief Instructor's recommendation. This instructor-led only course gives you direct instruction from an NRA-certified instructor from beginning to end and may be conducted in a classroom and/or on a shooting range with an Instructor. The successful Student will complete a written Examination and course of fire to receive an NRA course completion certificate. This course does not currently satisfy the requirements of any local law enforcement agency for the issuance of a CCW permit. You might consider taking this course to improve on the minimum required training received for the issuance of your  CCW permit.

 Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe use of a rifle. This instructor-led course includes classroom and range time learning to shoot rifles. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals;  range rules; shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and  kneeling positions; cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill  development. Successful students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship  Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Rifle Shooting Student Examination, and receive an NRA course completion certificate. 

  Prerequisite: This course is for law-abiding adult citizens, as defined  by applicable federal, state, or local law, and experienced shooters  (shooters able to show mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling,  shooting a group, zeroing the firearm, and cleaning the firearm).   Prospective participants can demonstrate that they have the requisite  knowledge, skills, and attitudes by producing an NRA Basic Pistol Course  Certificate, NRA FIRST Steps Course Certificate, NRA pistol competitive  shooting qualification card, military DD 214 with pistol qualification,  or passing the Pre-Course Assessment.  
Description: This is an  eight-hour course. Students should expect to shoot approximately 100  rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting  skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent  confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for  self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development.  Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection  In The Home handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, the Winchester/NRA  Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and course completion certificate.    

This course is for the new firearm owner or anyone preparing to purchase their first firearm. The course includes; the basics of firearm safety, handling, storage and shooting. The course includes classroom instruction and range time. Successful students receive the NRA "New Shooter Seminar" certificate. The student may choose to add the Firearms Safety Card course to this class to prepare for their first or upcoming purchase.

Have you been away from the shooting sports for a while? Have you completed a basic skill or introductory level class? We can coach you to be more comfortable and proficient with your gun. We will customize a program with both classroom and range time to help you improve your safety, skill, knowledge and comfort in the use of your gun.

This course is for the owner of a new firearm they are not familiar with. The course provides an introduction to the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to own and use their specific pistol model safely.

 Effective January 1, 2015, the Handgun Safety Certificate program was  replaced with the Firearm Safety Certificate (FSC) program. Under the  FSC program, requirements that previously applied to handguns only now apply to all firearms (handguns and long guns), unless exempt. We are authorized to offer the training and administer Student Examinations. Successful applicants will receive a Firearms Safety Card.
